Why are we having this by-election?

This by-election has been called because the former Tory councillor resigned. Elected only last May, she now lives and works in Birmingham.
She has attended only 2 full Council meetings and did not put in a single appearance at either of the committees she was appointed to - yet she has drawn a full Councillor’s allowance of £280 a month since last May - at your expense.
“She is not the only Tory councillor to be drawing an allowance for little or no work,” says Lib Dem group leader Cllr. Robin Studd.
“But the Tories have got one thing right - it is time for a change,” says Robin.
“Cllrs. Mary Maxfield, Sandra Bowyer and Tina Morrey have been dealing with the issues arising in Ravenscliffe - it’s time you had a Liberal Democrat councillor of your own working for you in the ward.”
“The only way to get a Lib Dem is to vote Lib Dem! On March 5th, pick John Parsons!”
